YES! We are credited by the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences.
To get your Diploma or Certificate, you must complete the Program hours, successfully pass the didactic and practical examinations and complete the required number of practical procedures.
To get your license, you must pass an examination by the state board, and BJ’s graduates have a very high passing rate. All throughout the course, we help prepare you for the exam. We’ll even give you a “mock board exam” so you’ll know what’s expected. Foreign students do not qualify for the State License unless they possess a valid Social Security Number.
Classes are diversified. You’re not going to be stuck in a classroom all day. We have lectures, of course, but we also have live demonstrations, guest speakers, videos and practical application.
BJ’s has an open enrollment policy and programs are offered continuously. Classes start on a bi-weekly or monthly basis. Please consult with your campus “Registrar” regarding specific start dates.
After the first phase of training, you’ll be working on both patrons and mannequins.
Yes, you must be at least 17 years of age to begin training.
A high school diploma or GED is required prior to enrollment.
Yes! We do have financial aid available for those who qualify, both private and government programs. The government programs are based on need. The financial assistance programs are very flexible and can be tailored to your individual requirements.
BJ’s offers Placement Assistance. While we can’t guarantee you a job, we will help you find your first position and assist you to reach your career goals.
